IMPLEMENTING A BEST PRACTICES MENTORING INITIATIVE
Presenter: Dr. Rita Boags, Principal, Leadership Technologies, LLC
June 19 and 20, 2007 San Francisco, California
This preview is designed for program coordinators, design teams and sponsors of Mentoring programs. The formal Mentoring program summarized in this preview is a synthesis of the experiences of Leadership Technologies’ Mentoring programs, research and benchmarking study. The program has been utilized for over two decades in a variety of businesses, industries and public agencies. The design of this Best Practices Mentoring program serves a number of purposes:
- To provide a reliable roadmap to those responsible for the implementation of Mentoring Programs.
- To minimize mistakes, time lost and wasted resources.
- To use as a review for upgrading or revitalizing a program that has been in operation.
- To present information on Best Practices, and provide documents and references to other resources.
- To provide a group forum for decision-making and customization of the Best Practices model and materials to fit unique client specifications.
- To provide the foundation for a common standard of practice within an organization.
