PARTICIPANTS:
This workshop is designed for all program and project managers who have primary responsibility for the design and implementation of Mentoring Programs within their workplace. Included are Program Coordinators, Mentoring Program Team Members, Diversity Officers, Council Members, Workshop Facilitators, Human Resources representatives, and Program Sponsors and Champions

OVERVIEW:
A Mentoring Initiative helps an organization remain vital and competitive within a shrinking workforce and resultant knowledge loss through retirements and layoffs. Mentoring programs provide a ready mechanism for everyone to work smarter through knowledge transfer and pull together by building a broad base of business relationships.

Program Coordinators and their support network play a critical role in the establishment of a program, as well as administering and sustaining it. Coordinators and their team assist the program’s mentors and mentees in their individual growth.

While the initial workshop lasts two days and provides the program administrators with a broad overview and opportunity to make decisions on program content and roll-out, the full program takes between 15 and 18 months to complete. During the process, the Coordinator and team members implement specific components and thereby engage in Action Learning as they manage the project and grow their influence and leadership competencies.
